English teenager Rhian Brewster has emerged as the prime candidate to replace Daniel Sturridge in Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool squad.

The 19-year-old has impressed Klopp throughout the Reds' pre-season campaign, scoring four goals, including a double at Prenton Park (above).
"He's a top striker, a top talent and I have told him already that he has an important role this year, but how important depends on him.”
Liverpool already boast a scintillating line up of attackers in their squad, led by the all-star trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
While Champions League hero, Divock Origi, has just signed a long-term contract, keeping him at the club for the foreseeable future.
But the man, or boy rather, that's got everybody talking is Brewster.
The striker is yet to make a competitive appearance for the European Champions, but many of Liverpool's fanbase have known about him for years.
Brewster signed for the Merseyside giants in 2015 from Chelsea and has received plaudits for his performances ever since.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard coached Brewster at U18 level and believes he has the mindset to make it right to the top.
"I love being around Rhian, he’s a great kid, he’s got a great mentality to work hard and improve and that’s how you get success as a footballer.”
Brewster also led England to glory at the FIFA Under 17 World Cup, winning the golden boot in the process and announcing himself on the global stage.

Although the Londoner is predominantly a striker, Klopp believes his versatility may allow for more opportunities.
"He has to play different positions as well because the centre is OK, wing I think is possible, and then we will see how we can line up. There will be opportunities for him, I am really sure."
With just two days to go until Liverpool kick off their Premier League campaign, hosting Norwich, many will be keen to see if Brewster will feature for last season's runners up.
And if not, it's only a matter of time until he makes his mark at Anfield.
